DEAR producer / director / editor experimental short, 2013 shot on location: Laredo, Texas	Dear is a bilingual experimental short with layers of images and audio. It is intended to bring attention to many things people in South Texas hold "dear;" tradition, food, cultural heritage, and family.

JORNALERAS producer / director / editor in production, 2013 shot on location: New York City Still: click to view larger image	Jornaleras, currently in post-production, is an experimental documentary short that explores the stories of three working, immigrant women in New York; Rocio from Mexico, Carmen from Nicaragua, and Sandra from Honduras. The film explores the women's journeys post-crossing the border into the United States and gives unique insight into their personal experiences.

RED CASAS DEL MIGRANTE writer / producer / director / editor documentary short, 14 mins, 2009 shot on location: Tijuana, Guatemala & Chiapas Still: click to view larger image	Red Casas del Migrante Scalabrini (Network of Scalabrini Migrant Houses) deals with a five immigrant shelters in Mexico and Guatemala run by Scalabrini missionaries. The film explores the cause of migration and interviews further connect local realities with larger world issues. The documentary was shot in Guatemala City and Tecún Umán, Guatemala, Tapachula, Chiapas, Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and Tijuana, Baja California Mexico.

AUDIENCIA producer / director documentary short, 11 mins, 2008 shot on location: Laredo, Texas Still: click to watch film	Audiencia reflects and is inspired by my "third space" immigrant experience. This documentary is about how Lucha Libre (Mexican Wrestling) is transported from the Mexican side of the border to the American side and then moves further north. It is also about how an immigrant community attempts to hold on to their culture. Everyone attending the Lucha Libre events in Laredo, TX spoke Spanish. Those that were interviewed for the documentary wanted us to know that they where either originally from Nuevo Laredo or had been born in the U.S. side but had grown up in Nuevo Laredo. I experienced the latter (born in Laredo, TX but lived/live in Nuevo Laredo). I crossed everyday to go to school and now as an adult cross daily to go to work. I think this is a unique bicultural border experience and I attempt to celebrate it in my work.

CASA DEL MIGRANTE writer / director / editor documentary short, 10 mins, 2005 shot on location: Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico Still: click to watch film	Casa del Migrante deals with human rights violations toward Central American migrants traveling through Mexico. At Casa del Migrante, Nazareth, a migrant shelter in the border town of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, we hear first hand accounts of the migrant's plight. It is through interviews that we learn about the migrants' travels to the border of U.S./Mexico, their encounters with Mexican authorities, and their hopes and dreams for a future in the United States. Central American migrants report of being in constant danger; many report abuses committed by Mexican authorities during their journey.

JUDITH'S KITCHEN writer / director / editor 16 mm short, 7 mins, 2000 shot on location: Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico Still: click to view larger image	Morning at Lola’s house becomes magical from the moment her imagination lets loose. Judith’s Kitchen invites the viewer into a fantastical world of clowns, fiestas and cowboys in the backyard, choreographed down to the details by Lola, who makes a cameo appearance to correct an imaginary character’s performance.
